Zoho Books allows BoomTax to pull 1099 vendor information and payment amounts, helping you avoid tedious and error-prone data entry. With these simple steps, you can import all the required IRS information without the need for manual data entry for Forms 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC.
Existing BoomTax customers can login to their account while new customers will need to create a BoomTax account. Don't worry signup is quick and easy!
Takes Only 30 Seconds
Navigate to create a new filing and select either 1099-MISC or 1099-NEC.
Click the second tile to bring a full list of supported vendors for the selected 1099 form type.
Selecting Zoho will start the import process and the user will be redirected to Zoho login.
Enter your Zoho credentials on the Zoho Books page and allow BoomTax access to read your vendor information.
This is required in order to import vendors and payments into the BoomTax system.
Important: BoomTax reads the 1099 Report under the Reports -> Taxes section in Zoho Books. The 1099 report must be generated before attempting to import into BoomTax.
Zoho Books 1099 Report only generates values for boxes that passed the threshold and have enabled Form 1099 Tracking for Vendors on Zoho.
After the data transformation has completed make sure to review the 1096 and 1099 for any missing information. BoomTax attempts to import all the required information but missing data can cause forms status to be set to "incomplete" on the BoomTax system.
After vendors and payments have been imported and updated any missing data, the final step is to efile with the IRS. Click the e-file button at the top and complete the brief wizard to submit the filing to the IRS and applicable states.
NO it does not! Connecting your Zoho Books account to BoomTax is — and will always be — a free service!
No, BoomTax does not limit how many times you can import Zoho 1099 vendors into your account. Keep in mind the BoomTax service imports vendors and payments based on the generated 1099 report of Zoho at the time of import.
BoomTax does not track changes made in your Zoho Books account — including additions, deletions, or edits. To update information, you can either manually edit the vendor in the BoomTax interface or restart the import process to pull the latest data.
You can import your data as Excel, XML, or use files from popular payroll providers like QuickBooks, UKG, ADP, and many more.
We walk you through the process with no complicated jargon. You can also live chat with a real person as you work on your filing for hands-on help.
Once your data is loaded, you can e-file and distribute employee copies in minutes.
